The goalkeeper Had little to do to make during the opening 45 before forced to intervene by Arbër Hoxha’s bent shot. His sliding intervention on Qazim Laci demonstrated his game intelligence. 6/10

Jarell Quansah Challenged by Albania’s primary attacker in their forward. Played through the middle early on but moved wider after Saka was introduced. Seven

The defender Moved into midfield on the ball, as he has done previously. Sometimes lacked urgency when carrying play with the approach was shelved by the interval. 6

The tall defender A constant threat at set pieces, per usual, could serve as an alternative to his teammate at the back as opposed to his partner. One wayward pass in the second half came close to the first goal for the visitors. 6

Nico O’Reilly One more confident performance from the 20-year-old after his debut against another side. A teammate did not capitalize on the most of a clever flick over the Albania defence. The left-back spot is his to lose so soon. Seven

The newcomer His maiden beginning with the national team. A bit loose on the ball but his whipped corners were a threat. A handy game manager available to the manager to call upon against sides that sit back. Booked for a rash foul. 6/10

The midfielder Crosses on corner kicks and free kicks caused problems. Enjoyed room to roam in left midfield only to be in an offside position as the pass came in front of goal. Granted a deserved break around the 60-minute point. 6

Jude Bellingham Functioned in a forward spot down the right and also did plenty of defensive duties. Showed glimpses of brilliance but mishit a shot wide. Withdrawn late on by Rogers, his rival, after being booked. Seven

Jarrod Bowen Had England’s best chance of the first half, his effort excellently kept out by the opposing goalkeeper. As a teammate holding position, he had to offer an outlet out wide although his balls from the touchline varied in quality. Replaced with 15 to go. Six

Harry Kane The decisive figure with his seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth strikes in an England shirt. The first a classic close-range tap-in while the second a superb headed goal after peeling away off his defender. Aged 32, he continues to improve and England are strong contenders in future competitions when he's in the team. Eight

The attacker Struggled to get into the game out wide. Was presented with a decent opportunity when set up by Bellingham but Strakosha made the save. Rashford made much more of influence in his place. 5/10
