The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Passed Away in an LA Car Crash

The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has tragically died in a vehicle crash in the state of California at the age of 55.

Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio he co-founded.

The celebrated video game developer died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a motorway in LA on this past Sunday, as reported by.

"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and our hearts are with his family and friends, those closest to him, and the countless individuals inspired by his legacy," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
